Methods to Cut Costs

Well, my continued unemployment has forced me to make some cuts. To begin with, no more HiDef CATV. Yup, just average, every-day Cable. Okay, that's cut about $50 off my monthly expenses. Cell phone, slashed by another $40 -45 by dropping to Verizon's smallest package for $39.99/month. Also moving to another apartment. A downstairs unit will save me more, including electricity. Not sure about gas, though.

That said, Moving Day is once again upon me. This Saturday is the big day. I just hope my upstairs neighbor is not heavy-footed. One thing I cannot stand about apartment living is listening to neighbor's stomping, playing loud TV or music. Signing another year lease will hopefully get me into a good position by this time next year to getting into another house.

One thing I have not mentioned about this unit I currently occupy is that the stairs are precarious! Very narrow tread and steep. I've taken a tumble already twice, Josh has stumbled as well as a guest or two. So, this should be a move for the better not only financially but safety as well.

Rounding up help is not the easiest chore, either. That should be interesting, because NOBODY likes to move, not even moving someone else. I know Josh and I cannot move this furniture down the stairs. But it will all work out in the end.

Wish me success!
