The Cheesecake Factory

Tonight, my family and I went to supper at the Cheesecake Factory. In short, just go there for the desserts, SKIP dinner. In fact, don't even bother waiting for a seat. Instead, simply order your cake for pickup and get out. Why? It's just not worth it otherwise. They should stick to making cheesecake! Service is less than acceptable, food is outrageously priced and the wait is horrendous. If you're told your wait is going to be about 45 mins, expect AT LEAST a half hour more unless you have the guts to go to the counter after your promised time and refuse to budge until they seat you. Although that even took about 10 more minutes.

Once seated, service was passable. Food, like I said, although palletable, was outrageously overpriced. You see, we go for the whole experience. The food has to be good, service at least acceptable and the wait should be at least close to the promised time. I don't mind paying $80 and up for a really well presented and delicious meal. While in San Fran (See previous blog), we were treated to just that. Pricey but worth every penny. Whereas here, tonight's experience was quite different. The only similarity was the high price tag.

In short, I give the food a C-/D+, service a B (our server was really attentive--VERY important in a good dining experience), and overall experience, I give a D. As in, DON'T BOTHER to eat at the restaurant. Like I said, go for the desserts but leave the food in the kitchen. *chuckle*

Perhaps Vegas restaurants can take notice of San Fran with their impeccable service and well prepared food.
