4-Day Weekend

It's half-way through my 4-day weekend and so far, it's been spent working on the move in one form or another.

Friday Evening: Originally planned to take Josh out for his Birthday supper but changed his mind at the last minute and decided to stay in for the night. Suited me just fine, actually because I was exhausted.

Saturday: Spent the morning and part of the afternoon doing some packing. Then planned to go to storage for some re-organization. Then, in the afternoon (after a fitful nap) took my son to P.F. Changs for his 13th Birthday. This was something he wanted to do as well as get a Bundt cake from Nothing Bundt Cakes. If you have one of these in your area and never tried their cakes, I recommend you do so. Probably the moistest, richest and most flavorful cake I've ever eaten. Josh enjoyed himself immensely.

Sunday: Packed a little more, after sleeping in til 7:30... a real feat for me since I normally cannot sleep past 4 am. This, however, was due to watching "The Chronicles of Narnia" until 11 pm, then finally to bed around midnight. If you've not seen it, I recommend this as well. Very well done screen-play of C.S. Lewis' writing. Anyway, that should have gone under Saturday's entry. In any event, had trouble sleeping so came down at around 3:30 or 4 and crashed again on the futon. Then did I sleep until 7:30 but it sure felt good. Then Josh and I went to storage and spent about 2 hours reorganizing the storage unit. Did a pretty good job, even if I do say so myself. See all our junk below. *chuckle*

[Picture was SUPPOSED to be here!] Hmmm... well, as usual Blogger.com is not cooperating. It seems every other time I attempt to upload pictures, their server is not responding. Whatever, will try to upload one later. I wish they'd get competent administrators to run this site. But, back to the day, we've received word that Monday, May 22 is our Final Walk-thru on the new house! Still waiting on our buyer to decide WTF they want us to do regarding the Home Inspection. Ain't nuttin like waiting on a snail to cross a football field!

Monday: The fun continues with cleaning out the garage and possibly another trip to Storage. Then, depending on our moods (another difficult night sleeping... ugh!), who knows?

Tuesday: We'll see... maybe wash the truck?

Check back for more excitement. LOL!
