In Memory Of Our Honored Dead

Not to sound morbid, but that is what Memorial Day is all about. Not picnics, BBQ's and holidays where you can get away from work and normal routine. While it is a great excuse for all of these things, how many of us REALLY stop to think about the lives given in the name of our Great Country?

Think about it. Each of us, no matter how "patriotic" we may think we are, takes our freedom for granted. If not for the many that lost their lives in pursuit of preserving such freedoms, we would be speaking Russian or worse.

Without getting too deep, all I ask is that you take a moment to simply give thanks for the sacrifices given for your freedoms that you enjoy daily. Not just today, but EVERY day. For we may soon see a time when these freedoms may no longer be available to us. Sure, I gripe, bitch and complain about many things, but I am thankful for my freedom to do such things. Yes, I admittedly take many of my freedoms for granted. So, once you've done that, go enjoy the time you have with your families.

God bless America and Happy Memorial Day!
